Why I love this recipe:
A never thought I would like green smoothies until I came up with this recipe. Nothing feels more energizing and kicks the day off with a healthy smoothie. It’s super quick to make and gives you the energy you need to last the morning. I load this smoothie with kale, almond milk, avocado and my favorite frozen fruits that I pre-cut and store in the freezer. Freezing fruit in advance helps save so much time in the am before heading to work, plus it helps make the smoothie cold. My secret ingredient for all of my smoothies is to add a scoop of Vega One protein powder. It’s a plant based GMO free powder and has all of the essential vitamins and minerals you would get in a daily vitamin so you don’t have to take it in pill form. Plus it has 20 grams of protein…all from natural sources. Eating dairy and whey based products make me bloated so I really like this natural option. This smoothie helps keeps you satisfied until lunch and really makes you feel like you are treating your body with love. Great morning booster and sets a positive tone for the day. YUM!
